About Masud

I was born in Dhaka, Bangladesh and spent my early childhood in Belgium, where my father was studying. He is also an artist, and we visited galleries across Europe together.

I come from a family of nine artists. My grand-uncle, Shilpacharya Zainul Abedin, founded contemporary art in Bangladesh. I studied Fine Arts in Dhaka and won the Artist Anwarul Haque Memorable Award in oil painting in 1997.

I worked in web design and banking in Dhaka, Dubai and now the UK, where I live with my wife and two children. Painting is how I slow down after a day of work.

Masud is a seasoned and capable individual with an eye for capturing unique subjects in his canvas. While his creativity knows no bounds, the intricate details of his brush strokes astounds beholders the most. Currently settled in London for work, he is an inspiration for aspiring artists in Bangladesh and beyond.

It is a matter of pride for me to witness and vouch for the lifelike creations Masud has shaped overtime. Starting from his distinctive concepts to the sheer commitment of producing an art that has a perfect finish, Masud’s continuous thirst to outdo himself is what I truly applaud.
